July 28, 2005 – It looks like August 27th music fans will have several opportunities to see a lot of great bands depending on where they live and how far they want to travel.  The 2005 Rock Never Stops Tour will make a stop at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa (Same place Buddy Holly died in a plane crash following a concert).  Jani Lane and Vixen will be performing at the Ice Harbor in Dubuque and Skin Kandy will be at Center Point.  Hopefully everyone will get out and support one of these shows.  We will be going to the Rock Never Stops Concert as it has been a few years since we’ve seen Cinderella perform.

July 26, 2005 – The 2005 Rock Never Stops Tour featuring Cinderella, Quiet Riot, Ratt and Firehouse has announced another Iowa Date at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake Iowa on Saturday August 27th.  This is a smaller venue and we image tickets will sell out fast so get yours as soon as possible.  You can purchase tickets HERE.

June 22, 2005Outside Eastern Iowa.  Great White has been confirmed to appearing at Keysters in Urbandale Iowa on July 16, 2005 with local Des Moines favorite Cold Filtered opening.  More information will be provided next week.  We just caught Great White at a private party at Muddy’s in Cedar Rapids on June 19th and I will tell you they were unbelievable and Mark Kendell is one of the most underrated 80s metal guitarists.  Hopefully they have his latest album “Mark Kendell 2.0” available for purchase, as it is a great rock album with a heavy blues influence.   A portion of all ticket sales do go to the Station Family Fund to help survivors of the fire.
